The Big Picture - Dynamic Measurement - Skewing squares

Nick Jackiw in his series of videos of "The Big Picture" included within the "Dynamic Measurement" clip a presentation of the Euclidean proof that a*a + b*b = c*c by skewing the squares. I have searched and cannot find out this was constructed. Since it is in a presentation video, I assume there must be an explanation somewhere on how it was done. Could someone please give me a link? TIA

    Hi,

There's a Sample Sketch that has four visual proofs of the Pythagorean Theorem, including a shearing sketch. From Sketchpad 5, choose Help | Sample Sketches & Tools | Geometry | Pythagorean Theorem.

Thank you, Elizabeth. I guess I'll next the next month or year to examine all the hidden objects to figure out which does what, why, and how. Excellent sketch!.
