Thread: Sketch Exchange FAQs

  1. #1

    Sketch Exchange FAQs

I'll keep adding on to this as questions come up.

Q: How do I change my user name?
A: Go to Key Online (www.keypress.com/keyonline) and log in. In the top row, under the orange banner, click on My Account. Press the Edit button. Scroll down to find and edit your Sketch Exchange user name.

Q: How come the Forum thinks I'm not logged in when I am logged in?
A: If you enter the Forum by clicking on one of the Recent Forum post links on the Home page, the Forum may not recognize that you are logged in. To fix this, click on the Community tab. See http://sketchexchange.keypress.com/f..._vb3_new_posts for more information.

Q: Is there a way to view a list of unread threads/forums?
A: In the dark band above the navigation links (sometimes called breadcrumbs), click on "New Posts" and you will see a list of posts made since you last logged in. Double-click on the image below for a visual.

Q: How can I get help with a construction?
A: Please post construction questions in the Construction Questions forum.

Q: How come my activity says it was edited when I didn't edit it?
A: Sometimes an administrator for Sketch Exchange will edit a contribution to add an image, correct a misspelled tag, add a useful tag, etc. We don't edit the sketches themselves.

    Hi Amber,

I added your question to the FAQs (and hopefully answered it).

    Thanks,

    Elizabeth

    Unread Threads

I found the link, but no breadcrumbs...

The breadcrumbs are right above the Reply to Thread button, they should show something like: Forum > Main Category > Main Forum > FAQs. They show the path you took to get to where you are in the site.

I've added an image to the original post to show where the New Threads link is.

Oh, I know what you mean, I just thought there were literally breadcrumb graphics scattered near the links. I guess that is just what they are called.

LOL––I get so used to these computer terms that I don't think about them. No actual breadcrumb graphics, just the links

I know a fair amount of internet terms, I have always thought they were called forum navigation links...

Post Frequently Asked Question to Add

Also, add this to the FAQ:

    Q: What are "breadcrumbs"?
A: Breadcrumbs are the links near the top of the page that tell where you are in the forum. Double click the image below for a visual.
